Regular Water Heaters are NOT Invincible.

They are certainly reliable and hard-working, but not immortal. How old is your home’s water heater? It really does not matter where you live, the older your home’s water heater is the more likely it is to break down. As a general rule, a tank style water heater will last, on average, 8 to 12 years. That is just the way it is!

Some other clues that your water heater is about to bite the dust are –

1.  Rust and corrosion.

2.  Its drain valve is giving out…listen for a popping sound when the burner ignites.

3.  Leaking…drip, drip, drip.

4.  Hot water becomes “cool” water.

How long have you lived in your Coeur d'Alene or Spokane area home? Is your water heater original equipment? Why not call A River City Plumbing to have your water heater inspected and perhaps replaced?
