What is Hydronic Heating?

Hydronics is defined as the use of a liquid heat-transfer medium in heating and cooling systems for your home or office.  The working fluid is typically water, glycol, or mineral oil.  Some of the oldest and most common examples are steam and hot-water radiators.  Your hydronic system moves through sealed pipes to radiators located throughout your home.

There are three types of hydronic heating –

1.  Baseboard…popularly referred to as hot water baseboard.
2.  Hydronic radiant floor…the entire finished floor serves as a radiator.
3.  Hydro-air heating which requires ductwork.

All of this leads us to right place to call when you are considering a hydronic heating system.  That is A River City Plumbing.  They have been serving the heating, cooling, and plumbing needs of Coeur d’Alene and Spokane for many years.  Just give them a call to discuss the viability of hydronic heating.  Check out arivercityplumbingservice.com for the right number.
